Excellent. You get a much better sound out of a bass if you play it like a guitarinstead of smacking it. That was the style of Gene simmons, Jason newstead and Peer Steele.
You need to be a band man. I love your playing. I'm a bass player too though I mostly play piano these days. But I know how much practice I had put in to develop my abilities.
r92g Explain? Not dissing your opinion, just wanting to find out why. I'm thinking of buying an 8 or 12 string soon and looking for the pros and cons of different brands
I love/play bass/guitar/jus string things period-want to start building even...that being said, the 12 string GOTTA be a headache to set up/play/maintain....sounds great tho👍👍🎶
I'd sure love to see it again. Xlnt bass rendition. I'd looked for it some time back to show a friend but figured I hadn't searched well enough. After seeing this video though I thought to ask you. Great playing.
What's the tuning of the strings? In the 8 strings one is the low octave, and the other is the octave right up, but here? Is it the 5°? or another octave upper?
croci17 it is one low and the other two are both one octave higher. But you could have one low one an octave higher and the last another octave higher if you had the right gauge strings. three octaves in one set would be so awesome. you would need a set for 12 string guitar to get the high G
+Hobo Jeff I don't about being able to get a Hamer 12, but the Dean Rhapsody-12 is an awesome beast and won't break your bank. I've one for a while now and love it. Also, Gretsch just came out with a White Penguin-12 bass for Tom Petersenn. It's a gorgeous bass. Check it out. Seriously, check out the Dean R-12.
thanks for the question, yes it is one bass string, the next is a 3rd down and then an octave down. I enjoy being contacted any further questions i would be very happy to help. glad you enjoy my videos
This might be the best sounding instrument i've ever heard. Your playing is out of this world too.
i love this why did it take me ten years to get here. oh well im here:) thank you this freakin jams!
Good job, brings back memories of Cheap Trick's Peterson on stage.
This may very well be one of the best things I've ever seen.
These things would probably benefit bassists in three-piece bands the most. Talk about filling the sonic spectrum.
Familiar with Kings X? Dug Pinnick used a 12 string extensively early on starting with their 2nd record. Look up "Moanjam" or "Over my Head."
The secret of the Cheap Trick sound.
Bravo! I have recently gotten an 8 string after wanting one for decades. This video of such excellence has inspired me, thanks.
Dude that is so cool I just watched it five times. Love the bass, Love the groove, Love the song!
It’s hard to believe that all of that sound is coming out of one instrument.
This is so incredible. I'm blown away.
As always Hiroki is just magic on the 12 String Bass, there best there is!! :-)
Is there anything better on earth than short-scale twelve-string bass in capable hands?? No. No, there is not.
Dolce Dolente yes this rules all
Great playing, brother.
Excellent playing. You make me want to buy a 12 string bass.
I come back here over and over again to hear this one!
Fucking awesome. Blows the original out of the water.

Wow. Kick ass
Dug Pinnack has been playing one for 2 decades or more. Love the tone on King's X tunes with it.
Tom Peterson of Cheap Trick created them and has been playing them since the 80s
He's like the love child of Tom Petersson and Ace Frehley.
awesome!
Sweet
Badass 👍😁
Nice! : )
Oh my gawd

and now for something really different......
You probably get this a lot, but I bet your rendition of Pearl Jam's Jeremy would sound beautiful!
That thing is awesome, unlike ERBs. Nice work!
+r92g What's wrong with ERBs?
+AnonInTheMatrix They sound bad and are pointless.
+r92g Really? In what way?
Moneybadger
In a _giant duck farting_ way.
